Below are the guild guidelines and raid rules of Unholy.
Guild Rules
Ranks & Promotions
Unholy utilizes a single ranking ladder, but with multiple ranks depending on your role within the guild. We do NOT have ranks based on length of time in the guild, performance, or contribution level within the guild.
Recruits.
All new members begin their membership with Unholy as recruits. After a period of two weeks, recruits will become the final rank position depending on their role within the guild. (See below) Friends/Family of existing members skip the recruit rank and are automatically placed in the Friends/Family Rank.
Friends/Family
This rank is for all friends or family members in the guild who do not wish to participate in raids, battelgrounds, or other guild-sponsored events.
Warlords
This rank is reserved for those participating in guild-sponsored PvP events, including arenas and battlegrounds.
Raiders
All new recruits who wish to raid with us begin as Raid Recruits. After a period of two weeks of raid attendance (ie: attends at least 4 separate raid events), the Guild Leadership will review your performance and either promote to full raider or will advise you areas that need improvement. If your performance does not meet the guild's minimum standards, you will be placed in a Friends/Family (non-raider) rank until such time as you have improved your performance. You may apply to become a full raider again every 2 weeks.
Warlord/Raiders
This rank is for members who participate in both Raiding and PVP activities that are sponsored by the guild.
Guild Vault
The guild vault is available to all members except recruits. The higher your rank, the more access you will have to the guild vault. Use of the Guild Vault is a priviledge. Abuse of that priviledge will have it taken away. When using the vault, keep the following guidelines in mind...
- Do not take what you won't need/use personally. Taking an item and posting it up for auction is not personal use.
- Do not deposit junk items to any tab.
- Do not move items around from tab to tab. We label this as "griefing" and it will not be tolerated.
- Do not put items in tabs where they do not belong. The tab structure is laid out very specifically to help organize our resources better. Below is a tab classification list. If you are unsure where a donation should go, mail the item to one of the officers and tell them it is for the vault.
Vault Tabs
Tab One - Free For All
Anything in this tab is free game, but again, do not take what you don't need.
Tab Two - Glyphs
This tab is for our glyph stores. If you need a glyph that is not stored here, contact Espio (our guild inscription master).
Tab Three - Raid Supplies
This tab is for raid consumables. This tab is for raider use only.
Tab Four - PvP Supplies
This tab is for PvP consumables. This tab is for warlord use only.
Tab Five - Raw Materials
This tab is for any high level crafting materials. The right hand side of this tab is for flasks and flask materials. Only officers can withdraw from this tab.

Tab Six - Valuables
This tab is for enchanting materials and epics. The enchant mats are for raiders only. If you have greens or enchant mats please donate them here whenever possible. Only officers can withdraw from this tab.

Teamspeak 3 Server
Unholy has a Teamspeak 3 server that is available 24 hours a day. Utilized primarily for raid communication, you can also join it at any time just to chat with fellow guildies. Standard etiquette rules apply. We reserve the right to perma-ban anyone from our Vent server for any reason. Connection information can be found in the Guild Info area, in-game.
Raid Rules
Raiding Schedule
Our weekly raiding schedule is posted in the Guild Calendar at least 1 week in advance of the actual event. If a night has a guild event scheduled on it, competing events will not be tolerated. Once a guild-sponsored even has ended, then other events may take place but not before or during. Also, guild members eligible to raid should not "ID" themselves to a raid instance before all guild raiding nights have passed for the week... usually Friday.
Raiding Attendance
All raiders wishing to go must be online at least 15 minutes before raid start time. We intend to pull the first mob right at the posted start time so that we have the maximum amount of time inside the instance for the night. Also, we will not accomodate "sub-groups" of players... or players that refuse to raid if their friends are not in the same raid. We operate under the philosophy that the guild's progress comes before individual needs.
Raid Loot
The raid loot distribution process is currently under review and will be modified from our existing loot council setup to a DKP system inside Cataclysm. More details on this new loot distribution system will be published before end-game raiding begins.
"Grief" Items
Items that annoy or disrupt a raid will not be tolerated. So called "grief" items include, but are not limited to, the Toy Train and the Piccolo. Dropping these items during a raid will cause your character to be removed from the raid and continued violation may result in removal from the guild. If you are unsure if an item is a "grief" item, don't risk it... don't use it!
Required Add-Ons and Applications
To participate in the raid, you must have Deadly Boss Mods installed... and if you are a decursing, cleansing, or dispelling class, Decursive must also be installed. You must also have Teamspeak 3 and be logged in to the Unholy Teamspeak 3 server throughout the raid, even if you don't have the ability to talk. You will still be able to listen to raid leaders providing instructions.
Teamspeak 3 Rules
Teamspeak is for the exclusive use of Unholy Guild in it's guild-sponsored events. If you are running a pug group and wish to use the vent for your pug, you may do so provided the event does not occur at the same time we are raiding. We also reserve the right to kick/perma-ban any user from Teamspeak. During raid runs, talking on Teamspeak is reserved for the Guild Leader and Officer Core unless you are notifying the raid of something urgent.
Consequences
People found to be in violation of any of these guidlines or rules are subject to disciplinary actions from the Guild Leadership, up to and including removal from a raid or from the guild.
